Add These to Your Calendar: Oyster Festival 2021 Events!
The inaugural Oyster festival weekend is coming our way on January 14, 2021, and there’s plenty to look forward to leading up to it.
Here’s a list of events to add to your calendar in the coming weeks:
January 7 – 17, 2021: Tides to Tables – SC Restaurant Week, featuring the following participants:
- Fat Patties
- Gilligan’s
- Mr. Seafood
- Blacksheep
January 9, 2021: Downtown Beaufort Winter Sidewalk Sale
Featuring local merchants, outdoor displays will be set up the entire day for you and the family to enjoy. Also take part in the Oyster Festival Scavenger Hunt by finding many of the oyster located downtown for a chance to win prizes!
Thursday, January 14, 2021, 5-8PM: Education – The Beginning of An Oyster hosted at the Port Royal Sound Foundation Maritime Center
Look forward to an educational, family-friendly event at the PRSF as you explore the life of an oyster. Admission is free, but early registration is required due to COVID-19. Here’s what to expect:
- Foodtrucks
- Interactive fun
- Live educational demonstrations
- Entertainment by Southbound Seventeen
Friday, January 15, 2021, 6-9PM: Oystering – A Way of Life at Lady’s Island Oyster Co.
Lady’s Island Oyster, a functioning oyster farm and waterfront venue, will serve as the setting for live music, fresh oysters and more. Ticket price is $55 and includes an oyster shucker, a dozen “single ladies” oysters and a bowl of chili – additional oysters will be available for purchase the night of. Cash bar of beer and wine, and entertainment will be provided by Brother Tonic.
Saturday, January 16, 2021: Tradition: The Way the Locals Do It! At the Port Royal Community Beer Garden
A $20 admission will get you an oyster shucker and live entertainment provided by the Cluster Shucks. Sea Eagle will be onsite to offer an authentic oyster roast and a fried food truck will provide a la carte items.
