Blue Angels Rescue MCAS Air Show Cancellation

There will be no shortage of the “sound of freedom” this weekend! The U.S. Navy Blue Angels are here in Beaufort, despite the Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort Air Show being canceled this weekend due to Covid.

With many air shows canceled in 2020 and 2021, the Blue Angels are taking this opportunity to do flight training and practice for future air shows at the MCAS Beaufort base. For Beaufort’s lucky locals, that means the show is unofficially on.

These training flights on MCAS Beaufort won’t be open for public viewing but locals hardly have to leave the comforts of their home to see the incredible feats and thunderous presence of the Blue Angels.

The next official MCAS Beaufort Air Show is currently slated for 2023.
