Book donations requested by Friends of the Beaufort County Library

The Friends of the Beaufort County Library (FOL) is requesting book donations to support their upcoming spring book sale to be held on April 20th at the St. Helena branch Library. Drop off donations at any three of the public libraries located “north of the Broad”: Downtown Beaufort, Lobeco or St. Helena. The group is also offering a FREE donation pick-‐up service.

Due to a recent drop in book donations the FOL group is concerned that the book sale won’t be as successful as it has been in the past. FOL Book Sale Chairperson Geni Flowers added, “The more books and media items we have to place in the sale, the more money we can make to channel directly back into our local libraries. With recent budget cuts, the libraries need our help moreFriends of the Beaufort County Library than ever.”

With Spring approaching it is a great time to remove those no-‐longer-‐needed books, make some extra room in your home, and give our public libraries a boost. Any gently “loved” books in good physical condition make great donations. However, ALL books are needed and accepted as donations at any time of the year. And media such as DVDs, MP3s or play-‐aways are also always welcome at any time at all locations.

If you like to arrange for a donation pick-‐up call Geni Flowers: 521-‐4122 (wk), 522-‐8605 (hm) or 812-‐3574 (cell) or Neil Ames at 521-‐0993
