Once upon a time, Rachel Loomis made girls clothing at her house for her children. Folks like what she made, and asked her to make some fancy clothing for their children as well. Before long, the local mom of 6 was making girls clothing and then selling what she made online, at craft fairs and at trunk shows.

Fast forward nearly six years…and welcome Friday’s grand opening of Fabulous Girl Boutique on Lady’s Island. And, instead of Loomis making her clothing, it’s now made for her at a factory in North Carolina.

She’s come a long way.Girls rule at 'fabulous' new Lady's Island boutique

With her new store at 110 Sea Island Parkway, now everyone can ’embrace girlyhood’ with her clothing line and others with equally as fun names, and all made in the USA, including Joyfolie and Sloane Ranger. She’s added women’s clothing as well as shoes, boots, and things for the home too.

Also at the new boutique is The Parlor, a new salon starring local stylists Lauren Moules and Ashley Zimmer which specializes in women’s and girl’s styles. Mom can come by and have her hair done while the kids enjoy gourmet goodies made by local favorite Southern Graces at the boutique’s Sweet Bar.

The store has a few items for boys, but girls definitely rule at the new Fabulous Girl Boutique.

Check it out at 110 Sea Island Parkway, behind Carolina Custom Carts, and visit them on Facebook here.
