Record-breaking heat for Monday

Find a piece of shade and take full advantage of it.  While we love our summer heat in Beaufort, it takes a little getting used to this early in the season which is why this park-goer found himself a shady spot to lay down and cool off.

The Beaufort area topped-out at 90 degrees today, breaking (by far) a record high of 86 degrees in the area.

Don’t look for the trend to continue, as the National Weather Service calls for a high of 76 on Tuesday, and highs of 84, 81, and 77 on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.  Look for a 30 to 50% chance of rain the remainder of the week too.
