Wednesday Night jam at the Foolish Frog

By Mary Ellen Thompson | It’s official – Wednesday nights in October the Foolish Frog on St. Helena Island will be jamming once again…with Kirk Dempsey. A couple of weeks ago Kirk and fellow musicians got together for a small jam session under the almost full moon rising. The music swelled joyfully on a variety of instruments: washtub, guitars, bass, mandolin, harmonica, and banjo.

Kirk, Allan Webb, Tim Devine, Tom Cox, Laura Lee Rose, Charlie Williams and Steve Danko combined their voices and sang old and new favorites. It was such a hit that it’s happening again – starting tonight.

Listening to Kirk and friends play music on the deck is always like having a party without having to host it, and the Foolish Frog serves their full menu and drinks on the deck so you don’t have to miss a minute of the entertainment.
