Beaufort honors its Vietnam Veterans

Beaufort honored its Vietnam Veterans on Friday night in a touching Vietnam Veterans Celebration sponsored by Healing Heroes of the Lowcountry and the city of Beaufort.

Hundreds turned out to honor our veterans from all branches of the military and the crowd enjoyed performances by the Parris Island Marine Band and local vocalist Katie McCallister. In attendance and duly honored for their service were local veterans from World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

Speakers included Beaufort Mayor Billy Keyserling and former City Councilwoman Donnie Beer.
