Food Truck Festival serves it up at Beaufort Town Center

Hundreds of hungry locals turned out to enjoy the first Beaufort Food Truck Festival on Saturday braving the 100° heat bouncing off the blacktop at Beaufort Town Center. The best in local eats were served up by some 10 vendors along with live entertainment and lots of fun and games for the kids.

Thank goodness for shaved ice on a day like this.Food Truck Festival serves it up at Beaufort Town Center

Vendors included Palmetto Smoke House, Cool Breeze Shaved Ice, Vigil’s Food Stand, Pep Rolls, Palmetto Kettle Corn, Mikki’s All American Cuisine, Joe Loves Lobster Rolls, Lowcountry Island Noodles, Bhajee On The Beach, Yummy Buns and Sweet Temptations and more.  Fine music for the day was served up by  the always-a-good-show Cluster Shucks, The Hypnotics and also by the Rose Family Band.

Among the busiest vendors were Cool Breeze Shaved Ice (of course), the ever popular Joe Loves Lobster Rolls and (new to us) Island Noodles. We tried all three of them…and the pepperoni rolls at Pep Rolls too.  You can’t go to an event like this and not expect to eat a lot.

The event benefited ARTworks, the Arts Council of Beaufort County and was sponsored by 94.5 The Coast and eatstayplaybeaufort.com
