Get Ready for the 30th Annual Garden A Day in Beaufort!
Spring is in full bloom, and that means it’s time for one of the most anticipated events in the Lowcountry—the 30th Annual Garden A Day hosted by the Beaufort Garden Club!
This year’s event promises to be a garden lover’s dream, featuring five stunning gardens across Beaufort that you won’t want to miss. Best of all? It’s free to the public from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, rain or shine!
Since 1994, the Beaufort Garden Club—the second oldest garden club in South Carolina—has been showcasing the beauty of gardens in our community, drawing visitors not just from South Carolina, but from surrounding states and even Canada. As we celebrate National Gardening Week, this year’s event runs from June 2 to June 6 and will showcase breathtaking landscapes on Cat Island, Lady’s Island, and right in Beaufort.
The theme for 2025 is “Gardener’s Dreams.” Each participating gardener has cultivated their own space based on personal dreams and visions. From vibrant color schemes to serene retreats, these gardens reflect the passion and creativity that local gardeners bring to life!
Here’s What to Expect:
– Monday, June 2: Visit 53 Ridge Road on Cat Island to see Charlotte Hoffmann’s colorful oasis, complete with a stunning sunken pond and delightful garden art!
– Tuesday, June 3: Stop by the Magnolia Court Inn at 1206 Pigeon Point to witness the Elliott family’s charming garden where hotel guests have joined in transforming the space into a delightful outdoor retreat.
– Wednesday, June 4: Explore Aasa Munk’s 65 Sweet Olive garden in Celadon, featuring an enchanting Charleston patio surrounded by unique hollies and camellias that provide year-round color!
– Thursday, June 5: Discover the magic at 19 Wade Hampton, where Anna Sobeich’s park-like garden wraps you in the beauty of meandering paths and vibrant plants, a vision born long ago.
– Friday, June 6: End the week with a tropical escape at 46 Downing Drive. Melinda Singer designed her garden to evoke a seaside paradise, complete with palm trees and a playful beach for her grandchildren!
