Jessica Montgomery Mixed Media Artist

For three days and three nights Michigan based artist, Jessica Montgomery, lived and worked on display to the public. Completely submerged in her work, we watched as she created artwork inspired by her experiences and explorations of Beaufort and the Lowcountry.

Using mixed media techniques and materials such as charcoal, graphite, inks, and oils, Montgomery created one of a kind pieces from the storefront window of The Gallery, as you watched.  Yes…she LIVED in the window.  She ate, slept, worked, relaxed, and did whatever else a person needs to do during the course of the day, and overnight….in the front window of Downtown Beaufort’s The Gallery at 802 Bay Street in Historic Downtown Beaufort.
