The weekend has arrived: Let the band hopping begin

By Mary Ellen Thompson | This week band hopping is relatively sane and simple after all the Water Festival activities confusing our  regular schedule. The Friday night hop starts out with those lovely girls, the Sweetgrass Angels, playing at Lowcountry Produce Market and Cafe from 6 – 9, from there hop and skip on over to The Back Porch Grill for some tunes under the stars by Mark Bonds between 7:30 and 10:30, and then jump to the Foolish Frog in Frogmore to wind up your evening with Vic Varner from 7 – 11.

Saturday’s hop has a bit of a detour to Artworks for Big Frank Waddell, with Tim Styles and David Owens, who will be performing at 7:00. They aren’t a band, and band hopping is usually “free” but they do serve wine so we can put them in just under the wire, and it is sure to be a great show.

At the Back Porch Grill the Beer Can River Band will be playing from 7:30 to 10:30 which is sure to be a great time. Onwards to the Foolish Frog where you don’t have to worry about the weather, except in extreme cases, and enjoy Bootless from 7 – 11.

Sunday’s stroll takes us again to Saltus River Grill for Mr. Vic Varner and friends who will enhance your evening between 6:30 and 9:30.
