Local Facebook Groups are helping to support Beaufort families, restaurants, businesses & more!
There are many new Facebook groups that have launched to help our community stay connected during this trying time. Here are a few we recommend following to help support our friends and local businesses and restaurants! Together, we WILL get through this Beaufort!
This group is to support and promote our #BeaufortSC AREA local shops, artists, locally-owned independent businesses and professional services. Please post/share current hours of operation, curbside pick-up options, online/virtual classes & other ways our community members can support local. Let’s all try our best to be kind, support one another and keep our $ where our ❤️ lives!
The idea of this group is to list items for auction, each item will have the name of the individual worker/entertainer at the top. We are inviting people to bid on the items, each action lasts 3 days and at the end of the auction the winning bidder will send the amount directly to the worker/entertainer via PayPal/Venmo or cash app. It is up to the person donating the item and the winning bidder to arrange pick up of the auction they won. if you want to donate an item/s message me with details of the item, pictures and approximate location of pick up. If you would like to nominate someone who is out of work due to COVID 19 to message me with their story and we will add them to the auction winning recipients. PLEASE SHARE THIS GROUP AS WE NEED AS MANY DONORS AND BIDDERS AS POSSIBLE, all winning monies will go directly to the person nominated/affected and not to any 3rd party.

Although this virus is doing its best to force us apart, we need each other now more than ever. Our neighbors need us to lend a hand. Our businesses and restaurants need us to keep shopping (just might look a little different than before). Our local non-profits need help as they serve the most vulnerable members of our community. And we all need to hear some inspiring stories and creative ideas to lift our spirits. Some ideas to get the conversation going: – Opportunities you know of to help people in need (neighbors, community organizations, non-profits, etc.) – Local businesses and restaurants with news to share (offers, specials, home delivery, curbside pickup, etc.) – Job opportunities for those who have been forced out of work due to the coronavirus – Creative ideas for safe (and fun!) social distancing and things to do – Inspiring, uplifting stories from around the Lowcountry and beyond We got this. Let’s stand #TogetherBFT!
