New laser tag arena open for business
Hundreds of fun-seekers came out on Saturday to check out the new Lasertron Laser Tag Arena at the Community Bowling Center on Ribaut Road. The grand opening celebration included free laser tag games, free pizza, contests, giveaways along with free cotton candy, bounce houses, sno cones and more.
Parents can now plan a bowling and laser tag outing for the kids…right here in Beaufort; with the arena open daily to the public and also accepting reservations for private events.
“We’re glad to be open,” said Pastor Randy Roberts of Love House Ministries, owner of the Center. “What a fantastic turn out today. Thanks to the community for coming to enjoy the afternoon with us and to enjoy the new addition to our Center,” he added. “Families and kids are going to love our new laser tag arena with a maze and ramps for multi level play. It’s been a lot of work and it turned out perfect. ”
Work started last fall with the addition. The new arena has painted glow in the dark murals throughout, with a different theme on each wall.
The local church purchased and reopened the shuttered AMF Ribaut Lanes center at 1140 Ribaut Road in September of 2013 after it had closed down the year before. Love House was able to secure funding for the current projects from the SC. Community Loan Fund.
This is good news. This is really good news.
Often, when you talk with younger people in our community, they say that there isn’t a lot for kids to do in Beaufort and parents have echoed the same sentiment. Kids love laser tag and this is a great addition to the local community with the nearest laser tag center located all the way in Savannah. This adds another option to the Bowling Center when it comes to celebrating the kids’ birthday parties right here close to home.
