Restaurant and tequila bar open in Beaufort Town Center, more to come

tequila bar beaufortDos Amigos Mexican Restaurant and Tequila Bar opened on Friday in Beaufort Town Center, the first of four new restaurants announced at the shopping center within the past few months.

The new spot boasts an extensive lunch and dinner menu, complete with all the classic Mexican dishes you could expect, in a large and airy dining room decorated perfectly as if it were Cinco de Mayo 365 days a year.

The restaurant also comes equipped with a large tequila bar, owner Pedro Solorio’s idea of creating the biggest one in all of Beaufort. Upon our examination, we noticed some SEVENTY different bottles of tequila which undoubtedly possess the power to make a margarita of any size or flavor…or strength.

Enjoy daily specials at lunch and dinner, military discounts and happy hour at Dos Amigos. You’ll find a seat Monday-Thursday 11am-10pm, Friday-Saturday 11am-10:30pm, and Sunday 11am-9pm.

Three more restaurants are still expected to open by this fall. Cielito Lindo Authentic Mexican Restaurant, Hank’s Lowcountry She Crab Soup and The Cracked Egg, which already has additional locations in Port Royal, Ridgeland and Bluffton.

Cielito Lindo will be opening on the Burnside Street side of the same building, near the BiLo grocery store, next to the spot that used to house Higher Ground Outfitters.

The Cracked Egg will be taking over part of the KMart Store, grabbing the end unit that used to be the Lawn & Garden Center which is being subdivided to provide additional opportunities for businesses to join Beaufort Town Center. Plans at The Cracked Egg are to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Hank’s will be opening on the Boundary Street side of the KMart building offering a menu full of Lowcountry favorites as well as it’s namesake soup, and will eventually be joined by a new neighbor, Rotten Little Bastard distillery.

Each restaurant is mom & pop owned, and will be fantastic additions to the small business scene here in Beaufort.

With the announcement of eight or nine new businesses over the last few months, it’s easy to see that business is booming in Beaufort Town Center.
