Two new feature movies to be filmed in Beaufort

The Beaufort Film Society announced on Thursday that Dream Coast Films will be filming the feature movie Route 65 Nashville in Beaufort, SC this August and September 2013, featuring an all-star cast. They also plan to film the feature film My Brother, Your Outlaw, The Waylon Jennings Story in Beaufort starting January 2014.

Route 65 Nashville has an All Star Cast featuring film stars Eric Roberts, Corbin Bernsen, Naomi Judd, Johnny Messner, supermodel Rachel Hunter, Daryl Hannah, Janine Turner, Brooke Hogan, Stephen Baldwin, Randall Batinkoff, Chris Wiehl, former NFL star Ray Lewis, pro wrestlers Bill Goldberg and Kevin Nash, NASCAR’s Kurt Busch and Kenny Wallace, Peter Donald Badalamenti II, Joel Lambert, Rachel Rosenstein and a host of other proven talent.

The film is due to be released in theaters in the spring of 2014.

Route 65 Nashville features music and acting by some of music’s finest stars such as John Parr, Jamie O’Neal, Tommy Jennings, Bobby Cyrus and more. Route 65 Nashville is a showcase for future stars Charley Austin, Kristen Wollett, Erica Bryan, Hannah Fentriss, Taylor Watson, Katie Borden, Abby Nyman among other great talents.

US Route 65 is the main road in and out of Nashville, Tennessee, and you can come in with high hopes to be a star, but you can leave with shattered dreams. The film is about the people who live those dreams, dreams of a career in country music.  It’s a film filled with laughter, heartache and music by some of country music’s newest stars.

Writer/Director Ric La Monte has been in the film business for over 30 years, he has won awards for both writing and directing, he is considered an “Actors” Director and has written and directed SAG features, television pilots, stage plays and commercials. His last film “Dead by Friday” has won numerous awards and is considered a “Masterpiece” by “In Focus” magazine.
