Visit the Hunting Island State Park Nature Center

After a nearly 10 month hiatus, the Hunting Island Nature Center is back & operational!

Located at the southern tip of Hunting Island State Park, The Nature Center is a perfect place for kids of all ages to see some of the various sea & wildlife species that call Hunting Island State Park & The Lowcountry home. There are fish, many turtles including Lieutenant Dan & Buddy, snakes & alligators on display. Knowledgeable staff members are happy to teach you about the various species that are housed at The Nature Center.

After your done touring The Nature Center, take a walk down the newly renovated Fishing Pier or walk down The Nature Trail to The Boneyard on the beach; which are located conveniently near The Nature Center.

Hours of operation are Tuesday to Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
