Home for Thanksgiving: VMFA (AW)-224 returns to MCAS Beaufort

Welcome Back Bengals! Just in time for Thanksgiving, Marines from VMFA (AW)-224 aboard MCAS Beaufort SC returned home this week from a deployment in the middle eastern country of Bahrain in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.that had them away from their loved ones for more than 6 months.

Coming home a day or two before Thanksgiving is a special treat to the Marines and their families, and there’s lots of happiness in Beaufort right now.

We’re always glad to see our Marines home safe, and we thank them for protecting our freedom around the world.
