A Launch Party for 'South': The new book by Wendy Pollitzer

Folks gathered at Lowcountry Produce Market & Cafe on Tuesday evening to enjoy a launch party for the new book, ‘South’, written by local writer and author Wendy Pollitzer.

In her new book about what it means to be here in the south…in heart or in spirit, Pollitzer has collected ‘essays and images by characters of note and noteworthy characters’ including authors Pat Conroy, Roger Pinckney and Mary Alice Monroe and actresses Coco Jones and Andie MacDowell, among dozens of others. The book contains a variety of impressive photography from photographers including Eric Horan, Janet Garrity and Mark Shaffer.

With live music from The Bull Grapes along with fine food and champagne from LCP, it was a super fun time and right along with many of her friends, supporters and family…we’re very happy for Wendy and wish the book a huge success.
