Local DAV offers wreaths, seeks volunteers for Wreaths Across America
“REMEMBER, HONOR, TEACH.” That is the mission of the National “Wreaths Across America”, in which wreaths are placed at veteran’s grave sites in all 230 National Cemeteries across the US at noon on Saturday, December 14th, 2013. Beaufort Chapter 12, Disabled American Veterans has been asking for sponsorships for the wreaths, which cost $15.00 each. Individuals or groups can purchase one or more wreaths, and if you would like to, sponsorships are due by November 15th.
The wreaths will arrive in Beaufort National Cemetery by 18 wheel trucks, led by the Patriot Guard from Beaufort and Charleston, SC. Everyone is invited to the ceremony at noon on Saturday, December 14th to join in and also to help place the wreaths on as many graves as possible.

If you would rather purchase a wreath directly in person, look for the DAV at 3 doors of the Wal-Mart store on Highway 170 on the 13th, 14th and 15th of September, from 10:00-4:00 pm
