Tax preparation help at the St. Helena Library
Tax time is right around the corner, and you can avoid the ‘1040 blues’ and get some free tax preparation assistance at the St. Helena branch of the Beaufort County Library. Plan ahead because customers are only served on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program prepares tax returns to local working individuals and families in the Lowcountry. All services are free. All you need to do is bring a copy of last year’s return, all 2012 informational statements, information on deductions, copies of Social Security Card, bank account number and routing number to deposit your refund, and a valid picture ID.
