Neighborhood Watch: Lady's Island's Bluff Farm

You could tell that there was a sense of family and true friendship among these families that lived on the streets that wrapped around us that night.

This is Bluff Farm, an established neighborhood on Lady’s Island.

Bluff Farm boasts large lots with mature trees, landscaping, and some views of Factory Creek on deep water. Whether you are looking for a ranch, large family home, or a waterfront estate, Bluff Farm can offer it all for prospective buyers. Prices can range from the mid $100K range to closer to the six figure mark for a deep water home.

Marianne Blake, a longtime resident of Bluff Farm, says that friends really do become family here. “Our girls had a neighborhood where they could ride their bikes around the circle, explore in the surrounding woods, and play outside at all times without us worrying about their safety. Even neighbors without children looked out for our children. It is a family neighborhood!”

She has watched her children grow up in Bluff Farm and knows that many other families will enjoy doing the same. There are even tales of a family that was growing out of their existing home years ago. Instead of moving, they bought a lot across the street and built a new home to fit their needs, mainly because they could not imagine living anywhere else than this neighborhood. This shows the lasting impact of a wonderful neighborhood and community feel that Bluff Farm offers.

I personally felt a sense of community when I visited, and I know that others would feel the same. Not only do you get a true neighborhood, but you also are conveniently located close to several schools, grocery stores, and just a short drive to both Downtown Beaufort as well as Hunting Island. Being able to drive into the warmth and neighborly feel of Bluff Farm is sure to be a welcome feeling at the end of a busy day.
