Local students honor our heroes

Students from Lady’s Island Middle School remembered our heroes on Thursday as they placed flags at many of the headstones at Beaufort National Cemetery.

Each Memorial Day holiday, local children from our elementary and middle schools spend time at the cemetery performing a very nice community service. Kudos to the school for teaching today’s youth to understand the importance of honoring our fallen.
