Pets ruled Sunday afternoon at Henry C. Chambers Waterfront park

Sunday afternoon brought pet fun to downtown with Chain Free Beaufort’s Howling Halloween Party at Hemingway’s Bistro at Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park.  The event came with a judged pet costume contest, silent auction, live entertainment and a parade through the park.

As many as 40 dogs and their humans were on hand to enjoy the afternoon and celebrate their companions. Folks enjoyed live entertainment by DJ Donna, dog trivia with prizes, and great food from Hemingway’s.  Dogs enjoyed nail clippings from the staff of Broad Marsh Animal Hospital, bobbing for bones, strutting their stuff, and of course eachother’s company.
