Show some love for Hopeful Horizons Race4Love & Walk4Love this February

Hopeful Horizon’s Annual 2021 Race4Love is coming our way Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021!

In an effort to keep participants socially distanced and safe, Hopeful Horizon’s has also announced the 2021 Walk4Love on Friday, February 19, 2021 preluding the annual race. As always, proceeds raised support Hopeful Horizons’ programs and services for survivors of child abuse, domestic violence and sexual assault in Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton, Jasper and Allendale counties.

Here’s everything you need to know, all from Hopeful Horizons:

Walk4Love Start Time & Course:

The Walk4Love candlelight walk will start at 5:15pm on February 19, 2021 in downtown Beaufort! 

This signup is for those that want to participate and walk in our first Candlelight vigil walk- helping the cause! The 2021 Hopeful Horizons Walk4Love Candlelight Walk will start First Presbyterian Church, 1201 North Street in downtown Beaufort. Starting time is 5:15 p.m. on February 19, 2021.

Lots of fun for the entire family, special info and details to follow! Rain or shine, no refunds will be given. In the event that Covid-19 restrictions do not allow an in-person event, all participants will be transferred to the 2021 Virtual Hopeful Horizons’ Race4Love/Walk4Love.

  • Masks and physical distancing will be required.  
  • Pre-registration is required – this event is limited to 50 participants.

Race4Love Start Time & Course:

The 2021 Hopeful Horizons Race4Love will start at 9 am on February 20, 2021 at Cat Island.

The course is flat and quick, and offers a pleasant trip through the scenic neighborhoods located near The Cat Island Golf-Pool-Grill on Cat Island — located at 8 Waveland Ave., Beaufort, SC 29907. Marshals will guide you to the registration and parking areas near the tennis courts. (It’s about 2.8 miles from the turn off of Lady’s Island Drive to the event site — keep going until you see our marshals and event signs!) Rain or shine, no refunds will be given. In the event that Covid-19 restrictions do not allow an in-person event, all participants will be transferred to the 2021 Virtual Hopeful Horizons’ Race4Love & Walk4Love. 

Awards & Prizes

  • Prizes to top two overall male and top two overall female- Fire & Pine Artwork
  • Medals to top three in each division – 9 & under, 10-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & over
  • All kids 9 and under receive a medal. No duplication. 
  • “First Dog” prize, a special woof-doggie gift basket
  • “Fastest Stroller” prize- a handknit quilt by the Caring Quilters of Sun City
  • “Most Unique Mask”- prize- Lowcountry gift basket full of goodies

  • Masks and physical distancing will be required.  
  • Pre-registration is required – there will be no onsite registration or packet pick-up.
  •  No awards ceremony – winners will be listed on Race4Love.com and awards may be picked up at Grounded Running.
