Downtown Beaufort's Farmers Market opens its season

The Downtown Beaufort Farmers Market opened Wednesday to some steady business with lots of smiles and plenty of fresh local produce.

You can find the market in downtown every Wednesday from 2 to 6pm under the shade of the pavilion at Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park.  It’s a lot of fun!  Not being held in a field, a roadside or in a parking lot, this market is easy to get to if you live or work downtown because it’s right in the heart of it all.

Organized by Main Street Beaufort USA, the seasonal downtown market offers produce vendors, live entertainment, seafood vendors, homemade breads, jarred goods, occasional visits from local restaurants, and a whole host of other goodies.  Everything you find at the market is locally grown, harvested, made or caught.

It’s a great way to get up close and personal and to connect with your community.Downtown Beaufort's Farmers Market opens its season
